Historically, shipping companies have paid their freight bills based on pre-established parameters such as freight rates and delivery schedules.The forwarders are a group of smaller product forwarders and shipping companies who assist the product forwarders with shipping. These businesses move cargo from ships to manufacturing facilities, distribution centres, and other places where goods are created and dispersed for retail sale. The product forwarders do all of these responsibilities, and the forwarding businesses that are in charge of them get a little income share. Some goods forwarders go beyond simply moving items, providing additional services like warehousing.
